To freeze him out is slightly harsh, considering how Kobe still got his minutes even after the rubbish seasons that he has had now for the last two to three years (minus the odd game here and there). Under the right system, with the proper players around him, and most importantly, the ball in his hands, Lin is still capable of leading a second unit on his own. Admittedly, there is no real reason for Scott to play him seeing that they are going to tank through the season anyway, so he is effectively just keeping him there as a spare part for a rainy day. Surely Lin knew that his chances of playing a big part of the Lakers team would be little to none, with the whole Kobe situation, lack of overall talent in the team and a moron of a coach who is clueless.... |
